Jackson Concert Series
These highly popular concerts are held throughout the year and welcome a variety of distinguished musicians to the stage. From the Vienna Choir Boys to Roger Williams and Bobby McFerrin, this fine concert series offers something for everyone. Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Season
The Muscatine Symphony Orchestra's mission statement pretty much says it all! ''The mission of the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Association is to enrich the cultural life of the Greater Muscatine Community by presenting and maintaining symphonic music of the highest quality and by providing comprehensive music education opportunities to the Muscatine area.'' Most performances are held at the Muscatine Performing Arts Center, located within Central Middle School at 901 Cedar Street.

Muscatine Farmers' Market
May - October
One of the two Muscatine's Farmers' Markets is held each Saturday morning at the corner of Mississippi Drive and Sycamore Street. The other market is held each Tuesday afternoon in the spacious parking lot at Wilson's True Value located at 1420 Park Avenue.
Ramblin’ Rodders Friday Night Cruises
May - September
May through September (first Friday night of each month)
Cruises will take place in the downtown area on Second Street between Cedar and Iowa Avenue. Classic cars will be on display and downtown merchants will be open with extended evening hours.
Weekly Stock Car Races West Liberty Raceway
May - September
Enjoy the thrill of stock car racing at its finest at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds in West Liberty. Races are held every Saturday night with special races during the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and Tuesdays.

Eagles and Ivories/ Ragtime Weekend
Last Weekend in January Ragtime Weekend is held the last weekend in January. Enjoy ragtime concerts by performer Bob Milne and eagle watching on the Mississippi River. View the majestic eagles as they soar, hunt, and nest in the treetops near Lock & Dam 16.

Project InSECT 2008
Project InSECT, a nationally renowned art and science exhibit, is landing in Muscatine, April 23 – July 5. This one-of-a-kind traveling exhibit includes the world’s largest scientific illustrations of some of the world’s tiniest creatures. Artist Jessa Huebing –Reitinger, paints enormous portraits of small, but interesting insects. Educator James Huebing- Reitinger, has developed a fun and effective way of teaching art, science, and conservation to all ages through his incredible “Bug Trunk Show”. Memorial Day Sunday Start the summer out with this annual bike race through Weed Park on Memorial Day Sunday. This 14-36 mile race is part of a trio of races that start in Burlington on Friday and end in the Quad Cities on Monday.

Third Tuesday in May This annual ten-cent meal draws hundreds of people from around the region. Entertainment provided by local talent and plenty of children’s activities.

Great River Days
Last Weekend in July This annual event started as a harvest day celebration but has turned into a three-day community-wide festival. Featuring nightly entertainment, food, a craft show, children's activities, an old fashioned ice cream social, and much, much more, this festival is a true celebration of Muscatine history and heritage.

Independence Day Celebration
July 4th This Independence Day Celebration includes an afternoon and evening of family fun. Beginning with the traditional 4th of July parade, this community festival offers children’s activities, musical entertainment, food, and a talent contest - all set on the banks of the Mississippi River. Enjoy the region's largest fireworks display as it lights the night sky and reflects off the Mighty Mississippi.

Muscatine County Fair
Third week of July The Muscatine County Fair - a true Old-fashioned County Fair - is held at the fairgrounds in West Liberty in Mid-July. Enjoy great music, exciting car races, and a demolition derby, as well as the thrill of the Midway during this five-day event.

Wilton Founder's Day
August 24-25 During late August, Wilton hosts the annual Founder's Day Festival. This small town celebration includes a parade, carnival rides, food, entertainment, and a 5K Run/Walk.

Heritage Day
Third Weekend in September Experience life during pioneer times at Wildcat Den State Park. Enjoy storytelling, old time mountain music, homemade ice cream, antique machinery displays, fresh apple cider, and tours of the 160-year old grist mill during the Heritage Day Celebration. Learn more about the fur-trading era by visiting the Buckskinners Rendezvous in the upper picnic area. Its fun for the whole family and there is no charge for admission. Food and beverages are sold on site.

West Liberty’s Children’s Festival
Saturday September 22 The West Liberty Children's Festival is held each year in downtown West Liberty during September. The festival features continuous entertainment including puppet shows, music, storytellers and a magician; food booths, craft activities and games. The festival is co-produced by Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre and the West Liberty Chamber of Commerce.

Holiday Stroll Weekend
First Friday in December Taking place the first weekend in December, the Holiday Stroll draws thousands of people to Muscatine's historic downtown shopping district. Usher in the holiday season by taking part in this festive event in downtown Muscatine. Enjoy decorated window displays, musical entertainment, food, trolley rides, the Nutcracker Ballet, a Historic Homes Tour, and the best in Midwestern holiday spirit.

Wilton Window Walk
First Sunday in December View decorated store fronts and windows in a holiday theme, sip on hot apple cider and listen to carols. Horse drawn carriage rides, lighting of the community tree and a visit from Santa are a few highlights.
