Photojournalists will appreciate the varied landscapes in Muscatine County. Muscatine’s prosperous past has left the community filled with gorgeous homes built in a variety of styles with superb river views.

Mother Nature also has left her mark on the area. There are thousands of acres of native forests, wetlands, and sand prairie supporting hundreds of types of plants and animals, which are open to the public.

Perhaps the most photographed spot in all of Muscatine County, is the Pine Creek Grist Mill, at Wildcat Den State Park. It is a marvel of from long ago, but today it is well-preserved and open for tours.
