On Sept. 17, 2015, the Sino-U.S. Friendship House opened its doors to visitors from around the world. The home, at 2911 Bonnie Drive in Muscatine, is the same one that China's President Xi Jinping stayed in when he first visited Muscatine in 1985.

That visit has resulted in a lasting relationship between China and Muscatine, with President Xi returning to visit his "old friends" in Muscatine in 2012, just a year before he would become the President of the People's Republic of China.

Daniel Wang and Glad Cheng, of China Windows Group Inc., have transformed the home into a tourist attraction and a tangible representation of the friendship between the two places and the individuals from them. The walls of the Sino-U.S. Friendship House are adorned with many photos which tell the story of that friendship.
